An ode to Disco Nail. Anyone who knows me well, knows I love disco nail. Her style is unlike anything out there and she’s simply amazing. My client came to me with an image of one of her designs. We sat together and picked some favorites. She chose a color scheme to work with and we got to work. I love it, especially the neon yellow index finger. If you’re not familiar with Disco, please check her out: www.disco-nail.tumblr.com

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the combination best of times and worst of times.

A 100-year-old man achieved his dream of being the world’s oldest marathon runner Sunday, after he completed a 42-kilometre race along Toronto’s waterfront.
Indian-born Fauja Singh will likely be named the Guinness World Record holder for the world’s oldest marathoner for completing the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon.
More than six hours into the race, and at a distance of about 35 kilometres, it appeared as if Singh would be forced to stop. But he continued on, eventually finishing at a time of more than eight hours.
Kenneth Mungara of Kenya won the race in a time of two hours, nine minutes and 51 seconds.
Earlier in the week, Singh set eight world records at Scarborough’s Birchmount Stadium track for running distances as short as 100 metres to as long as 5,000 metres.
Singh took up running about 20 years ago at the age of 80. He runs about 16 kilometres each day.
The run marked the eighth marathon for Singh. In the same marathon in 2003, he set a record in the 90-plus category of five hours, 40 minutes and one second.
